Common questions
Why is tax shown as an estimate?
Tax rules can vary by item, city, region and point of sale. How Much Travel shows the general rate and source summary available for your selected destination. Confirm the final charge with the vendor.
Can I use a card with no foreign transaction fee?
Yes. Select the built-in Default Card, which uses a 0% fee, or create your own card profile in Setup.
Why does my card statement differ from the estimate?
Your bank may use a different exchange rate or processing date. Pro users can edit the final amount paid, and How Much Travel will update the implied currency conversion while preserving the local purchase price.
How many transactions can I save?
Standard users can save up to five transactions. The one-off Pro upgrade unlocks unlimited saved transactions.
How do I restore Pro?
Open Setup in the app and use Restore Purchases with the same Apple Account that originally bought the upgrade.
How do Shared Trips work?
Shared Trips are included with Pro. Create one in Setup, add your travel group, then select who paid and who shared each purchase. History calculates who owes whom and records repayments.
How do I invite someone to a Shared Trip?
Open the trip in Setup, choose Manage Sharing and send the iCloud invitation. The invited person needs How Much Travel on a device signed in to iCloud, then chooses their name when joining.
Where is my information stored?
Settings, cards, ordinary trips and purchase history are stored locally on your device. If you choose iCloud sharing, Shared Trip members, purchases, balances and repayments are synchronised through iCloud with invited participants.
